Mandoputer firmware v1.2.1: Ship Status
Ship Status comes to every Mandoputer: a new screen with your ship, a warning that moves, and four ships to pick from. One download, made for your board.
Firmware v1.2.1 for the Mandoputer is now available. It brings a new screen, Ship Status, with four ships to pick from. It comes as one download, made for your Mandoputer’s board.
v1.2.1 — 2026-10-20
Highlights
Ship Status comes right after Motion Tracker. It shows a drawing of your ship. A red warning moves from part to part: engines, cockpit, wings, cannons. Now and then a critical alert flashes bigger and faster. The screen started as a request from the community.
Pick your ship in the Display Settings menu. The Hunter, a bounty hunter’s gunship seen head on, comes first. You can also pick the Hauler, Gunship or Bomber. Each one has warnings in its own places.
Changes
- Feature: Ship Status (mode 10). A blue ship and a red warning out of the box. Each warning stays on one part for a few seconds. The band along the bottom names that part, then the warning moves on. About one alert in five is critical. It is bigger, flashes fast, and has target brackets.
-
Feature: Ship choice. On Ship Status, the Display Settings menu has a
SHIProw: Hunter, Hauler, Gunship or Bomber. The unit remembers your choice. The menu on other screens is the same as before. - One download. Your order now has one file: a zip made for the Mandoputer’s ESP32-C6 board. It holds the update file and the USB installer. The installer checks the board first. If it finds a different board, it stops and writes nothing.
Upgrade notes
- The mode cycle has one new stop, between Motion Tracker and Bounties. The buttons work the same way.
- Ship Status starts in its factory colors: a blue ship and a red warning. Your other screens keep their colors.
- The USB installer erases your saved settings, as it always has.
- v1.2.1 replaces v1.2.0. Both have the same Ship Status screen. v1.2.1 is the one to install.
